i had severe resistant thrush for 9 mos. Yes, that was 9 mos of
nursing my toddler multiple times per day while my nipples were
ulcerated and bleeding. We went through many courses of
diflucan/nystating/sugar free free yeast free diet. On a whim, I
called my classical homeopath who is also an MD. She gave me one dose
of borax in high potency...might have even been 1M though I can't
recall.

I was better in 24h. I still, 7 years later, can't quite believe it.
I've had homeopathy work sometimes (mostly when my homeopath did the
'prescribing') and have had hit or miss experiences with it other
times (mostly when i just used my books and made my best educated
guess).

Other things I'd do differently now:
~get off 'added' sugar *and* grains (no bread, no cereal, no crackers
etc even whole grain)
~increase protein...i'd be eating meat/veggies at every meal/snack
~continue to eat less sweet fruits (green apples, berries etc)
~no dairy, no soy along with no grains no sugar
~a MULTI.....with plenty of zinc (25-30 mg total per day from multi
and additional zinc if needed)
~sufficient vitamin d (which is not 400 IU.....it means testing
25(OH)d and treating accordingly.....this changed my entire immune
system. it's probably 2000 IU of d per day...or more than that, maybe
even twice that
~get sufficient vitamin a which is also critical for immune function.
I'd follow hale's guidelines for preformed a intake.
~500 mg vitamin c 4-6x per day totaling 2-3g

i've seen my immune system change so dramatically in the last 5 years.
acting on those things that have helped now (with upper respiratory
infections, vaginal yeast, gut issues etc) very likely would have
changed the course of that highly resistant yeast issue we had.

all the best,
katherine in atl
