I wonder if the increase in GERD could be related to the increase of food and
environmental allergies we are seeing these days.  Maybe the GERD is just
another symptom of the allergies.   I personally have a wheat allergy that gives
me terrible heartburn.  As long as I steer clear of wheat I have no need for
antacids.  Does anyone know if allergy-prone kiddos are more likely to have
GERD?  Just a thought....
