Jan writes..."I guess I don't get what the problem is.  Is a formula fed baby  being 
"supplemented?"  If you give a formula fed baby a bottle of formula  (or an 
ounce or two or whatever), the baby is simply being *fed*, not  supplemented". 
 
Here is the link from JACHO. It sounds like the documentation must be done (by a physician or lactation consultant) on all babies even if the mother chooses to formula feed.

 I too, thought our CNS was misinterpreting the requirement, however, I was hoping to get a response from any hospital who may have already gone through an inspection to see how all this is playing out in 'real time'.
