It is very unlikely that 20/20 will run another breastfeeding story any
time soon. They need variety in their shows. However, it may be worth
approaching other magazine type shows to see if they will cover
something about breastfeeding. That might work because this is becoming
an important topic. I wouldn't go so far as to say a hot topic yet, but
we're getting there. Since 20/20 did a show, perhaps another show will
want to do something else on a different aspect of bfing.
Lack of LCs will not make much of a story for such a show. It's too
obscure. Most people in the country have never heard of an LC and don't
really have any interest in the lack of them in the hospital. An
informative show about Baby Friendly might be interesting. I don't know
that there's anything to do an expose on regarding that issue. Guilt
vs. regret vs. anger. That's an interesting idea, how would you want to
pitch it? What angle would you take?
