Christine: According to David Hoffmann, The New Holistic Herbal,
1990, Echinacea is an effective anti-microbial for both bacterial
and viral infections (my daughter who was getting a UTI
practically every month, culturing a different bug each time,
swears by this as preventive). Golden Seal is supposedly an
oxytocic. I for one would *love* to hear if anyone has used this with any
degree of effectiveness - to replace the nasal spray taken off the market.
