Please be kind when replying to me. I know I am setting myself up for
attack. I am also setting myself up to be seen as totally stupid! And yet,
that doesnt stop me. Hmmmm. :-)

I must admit that some of the jargon of the WHO code is a bit confusing to
me.

I want to understand how medela is violating the code in their brochure
"breastmilk feeding and storage set".
The code (4.2) states that no advertisement should "idealize the use of
breastmilk substitutes". But medela's brochure is advertising a bottle for
the collecting, storing, freezing and feeding of breastmilk. (not formula)
And then there is an entire paragraph where Medela talks about breastmilk
being the best choice for babies and the optimal nutrition for the growth,
development and health of babies. It states that once breastfeeding is
established, this system can be used as another means of getting the
breastmilk into the babies belly.

What am I not getting? Or what part of the code am I not seeing? Please
"teach" me, don't "attack" me!

Thanks,
Linda Hill RN, IBCLC
