The only thing I can think of is that if the baby starts to smell like 
maple syrup the docs might think they have a branched chain amino acid 
metabolic disorder, specifically Maple Syrup Urine Disease.

The most important thing mom can do the first 2 weeks is keep removing 
milk frequently.
