Can anyone tell me why frozen human milk, thawed in the refrigerator, needs to be used by 24 hours? Is there any research proving this time limit? I could not find anything in the archives explaining why there might be cause for concern. This would be based on giving the milk to a healthy full-term infant. What would be the potential problem with giving the milk after 24 hours, if it is thawed in the refrigerator and kept in the refrigerator after thawing?
