I had an LLL Leader call with a question for a mom with a baby born 10 weeks
premature. The mom started pumping for her baby and the nurses threw out the
pumped colostrum because it was "too dark".

Does colostrum vary in color? And if so, can it be too dark? I'm guessing
the nurses thought it was "bad".

Thanks for any anwers you can supply.
