Mary, does your facility use powdered ABM, or give it to parents? If so, I
wonder if your hospital "people in charge" understand the liability of
giving out powder which could be contaminated with E. sakazakii, or other
microorganisms, which are unaffected by the boiling water?

It's been a small consolation, but our local hospitals now give out
ready-to-feed, bypassing the contamination issue, but it's still pretty sad.

Best wishes,

sterilise feeding equipment before each use.>

This is the part I'm wondering about. Our facility already provides
information about boiling water when using powdered ABM. Other than that,
references say that sterilizing is not necessary, just hot soapy water. if
that practice is going to change, the research will help.
