Hi all
Just wanted to mention that cow milk based products such as HMF are not the only option available to ensure that VLBW babies can have their nutritional requirements (above and beyond what is provided by mothers own milk) met.  It is possible for neos to prescribe specific supplements.  The 'problem' with this course of action is that it requires the treating doc to calculate the dosage of each supplement.
