Hi all,
This is a short intro since I've never posted before. I'm a hospital
based LC in a small community outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. We
have 680 deliveries/yr. I've been practicing for 4 years and became
IBCLC in '96.

Yesterday I contacted Jim Hughes?(unsure of the spelling) at Medela's
corporate headquarters. He is responsible for the DCC/The Dependent
Care Connection, Inc. account. He is suppose to be posting on Lactnet
soon to clear up any confusion. The drift of our conversation was that
DCC did not buy the Sanvita program. They just go in to a place of
business and set up the Mother's at Work program. This includes
telephone support by LC's and access to breast pumps. It's as if they
are a rental station and supply Medela pumps. They want to have a
resource listing of LC's for those individuals that need more than
telephone support. The client would then seek out that LC and make
whatever arrangements are necessary to be seen for a consultation. It
would be as if this client was self referred to you. The billing would
not go through DCC.

Jim encouraged anyone with concerns to call DCC at (516) 781-4551 or
(203) 291-3506 or

Hope that helps clear up some of the confusion.
