Does anyone have any information about how one would go about charging for inpatient lactation visits. We are trying to get insurance companies to realize the importance of the lactation consultants position both for inpatient visits as well as outpatient visits. We have already put into place out outpatient codes and charges but are looking for information about what codes are people using for inpt. visits. In our CPT code book we cannot even locate the title of lactation.
