I was under the impression it was a 50/50 slush to liquid. 
More slush - can be refrozen.
More liquid - defrost completely & use for next feed(s).
This comes up when parents bring frozen milk from home for their NICU babies and they are using ice to keep it frozen. Doesn't work well.
