Debbie,
Perhaps the mom could deal with her diet better if she eliminated just a
couple foods at first -- I would definitely recommend nuts, soy, and
probably dairy (well that's 3 food groups). I know you said the baby is
exclusively breastfeeding - was this always the case? Was baby given any
formula early on, in hospital, or from a family member or daycare? We
recently had a post about soy and nuts being very closey related, and you
did say mom ate cashews.
My kids had mild eczema and I used Cetaphil soap with success - I am sure
this poor baby is needing some heavy duty corticosteroids at least in the
short term.
