Heidi, you are so good to keep supporting this poor mother! This
pediatrician sounds like one of those paternistic goof balls around here
that just seem to want to control people! This baby is
2 1/2 times his birth weight, what does this guy expect? Also, the fact
that the baby was born early should be taken into consideration and
obviously has not.

I do not know what size the parents of this baby are. Perhaps they are
smaller than average too. This should be taken into account too.
However, even average size parents can have children that are smaller
(or larger) than average.

There are times when mothers need to veto what physicians say and go
with their own instincts and common sense instead. It is often
difficult for mothers, especially first time mothers, to do this without
alot of support.
I'm glad this mother has decided not to go to this ped again and go to
someone else instead. Hopefully, the next one will be reasonable.

I know I haven't said anything earth-shattering, but I do wish this
mother the best!

Aloha,
Darillyn
