I just got a phone call from a mom with a 8-month old son. She has been trying to recover from a bad cols. Yesterday and today she pumped her milk for storage, and called to tell me that it was yellow (like the color of butter) and creamier than usual. BAby doesn't seem to mind the taste.

Any reasons you can think of for this color change? Mom has not taken any meds for this cold, but did take 2 multivitamins instead of one two days ago. Her pumping schedule hasn't changed. She only pumps once per day and nurses 4 times per day.

Thank you!
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
