When reading the information on babies wearing hats, someone referred to
this study: Lang N, Bromiker R, et al. (2004). "The effect of wool vs
cotton head covering and length of stay with the mother following
delivery on infant temperature. International Journal of Nursing
Studies 41: 843-846.
Does some one have this study or can connect me to it. (My medical
library could not get it) In the constant battle in our hospital of
trying to keep mothers and babies together, especially post-birth, I was
interested in the portion of the study that studies the relationship of
the infants temperature on the length of stay with the mother following
delivery.
It is always frustrating to have to find a "study" to be able to act on
common sense and instinct.
