Hi all,
I was watching the new TV show Strong Medicine's first show last Sunday. The
doctor was treating an abandoned baby which had been born to a mother who was
a drug user. Of course, this baby had multiple medical problems. When the
nurse asked if the baby had been keeping down it's feeding, the doctor
replied, "no, we should order some bottles from the milk bank for her" (or
something like that). I was glad to hear a reference to the milk bank on TV,
I am not sure that I have ever heard that before. Of course, most people
already know that banked human milk is used for sick babies, but then there
is the man suing the fast food places because he didn't know that fast food
was bad for you. . . . . . ?
Ciao
Merilee Reeder
