I had experience with a mother who was taking mega-doses of iron d/t her own
iron deficiency. Her 3month baby was terribly constipated, despite never
having had anything but mother's milk since day 1. I always thought it was
the mother's intake of iron causing the problem. The mother refused to
change her attitude and diet, and instead gave her baby laxatives. Lost
contact with her shortly thereafter.

If dairy can cause problems through the mother's milk, it is possible iron,
with a molecular weight of 56, could also cause problems.
