Very interesting to see the US version of info distributed by the FDA: First
recommendations were issued that were virtually the same (for preparation of
dry formula with boiling water, etc--not of course, the long WHO sections
for breastmilk instead...) This link is to the revised recommendations
(wonder what influences happened in between first and revised
recommendations???!)  This one revises the Dear Health Professional letter
of 11 April 2002 but eliminates the recommendation to use boiling water for
reconstitution of powdered infant formula. (I particularly *like* the
rationale of  "inability to assure adequate destruction of E. sakazakii".)
