Full page ad in current "Child" magazine (the mag that
recently slammed bf & LCs), among full page ads for
AIM paraphernalia & other fun products for new moms.

I expect to field many questions from new moms given
the marketing.

Same issue features "true life" story of new parents
in the trenches. Mom reports glibly that baby sleeps
through night at 12 weeks, & there's plenty of time
for romance during baby's morning naps... (If you're
reading along with me in the checkout line, check out
the OB's comments about how hubby will certainly find
time "for romance" & that she should be there ... not
exactly the stuff of Ms.) No doubt some readers will
compare their own "true life" adventures & find
something amiss with their own sleepless wonders...

Again, I expect more questions from new moms given the
marketing of such ideas.

Getting down from the swinging chandeliers, I am
reminded that a new couple is born on every birth day
and that the nursing couple's success is as much about
the marketing of society's attitudes as it is about
biology.

(Started campaign to remove "Child" from local health
food stores upon encountering the LC article. Have
moved on to national office. Will report any success,
so far have only succeeded in enlightening local management.)
