Lactnetters, back in June there was an offer on LACTNET to join DB-TEST, a
search list. Being a computer novice, I can't tell you a lot about it, but
I signed on and I use it often to search for specific topics in our
ARCHIVES. This is what it is designed for. Often Lactnetters will ask for
help in locating posts from our archives so, perhaps, this offer could be
made again. What I do is e-mail a command such as "search Reglan in
lactnet". Soon I have a list of every post that mentioned that drug over
the years of L'net and these are numbered. There are bits of the posts to
let me know if I want to find the entire text. If so, I can
command,"getpost lactnet 2562" and the entire post will be sent on my e-mail.

I find this method so much easier than going to the archives and scrolling
through, having only Subjects to guide me. Many times imporant information
is in the text that Subject doesn't reflect. I haven't had any negative
experience with this tool, and it has no fee. If others have further
experience with DB-TEST, you could share it with us.

It isn't hard to use, as I can do it. I hope this is helpful to you.
