JoAnn,

YOur post about "Jane" who didn't want to use ABM but would use cow's milk
(Pride?) made me think about a mom I saw 6 or 7 years ago. The baby wasn't
gaining; mom's milk supply was low and we worked on that, but meanwhile, the
baby needed supplementation. The mother absolutely REFUSED to use ABM --
called it "junk food" -- and then proceeded to give her infant baby food out
of a jar - you know, that stuff that is labeled "blueberry buckle" and
"vanilla pudding"? Yikes! Despite my gentle prodding, there was no
convincing her that blueberry buckle wasn't junk food. She never did give
the baby ABM, and her milk supply did come up gradually, but she continued to
feed her jars of "baby" food. Ugh.

And sometimes we just can't convince people....
