I am an L/D, PP nurse and can remember leaking so much that it would go through all the pads I wore and down my waist to my legs. It was really bad during
a delivery, especially if I hadn't bf or pumped in a few hours. One seasoned
mom that I cared for suggested disposable premie diapers. They worked great, I
always wore a cover coat, but at least I didn't leak through during deliveries
anymore. The more kids I had and the longer I nursed, the less they seemed to
leak. By kid #5 I was "leak proof" by the time I returned to work at 3 mos.
