Thanks to several of you for the good posts on bf twins. However, in the past
couple of years I have had several expectant moms of ***triplets*** come to me
with questions. (I live in NYC, probably the IVF capital of the world!) All
had received the conventional (and obviously true) wisdom that raising
triplets was just too hard to do alone -- with the unfortunate corollary that
they needed a form of feeding that wasn't all dependent on Mom! All three
nursed/pumped for a week or so, just to get some colostrum into the babies
until they were discharged and healthy, but none had any real success bf their
triplets. I found that I just did not have the experience to be helpful to
them -- I referred them to LCs but all by that time had pretty much made up
their minds that breastfeeding was "just not realistic" for them.

Does any one out there know a LLL group for moms of supertwins? or have any
good personal success stories that I could pass along to mothers along with my
more general cheerleading?

Thanks!
