Ruth Lawrence says it is OK to breastfeed with E.Coli food poisoning...but
doesn't address sepsis. If a baby has been cared for by a mom with an E. Coli
infection, doesn't it stand to reason that the baby has been exposed by the
enteral route anyway? It is, as far as I know highly contagious by hand to mouth
transmission. The breastmilk would have antibodies and would then be
protective...wouldn't it?
