Here is a mystery: I spoke with a patient today who flew from Detroit to 
Washington DC (about a one hour flight) and says that her milk was gone 
when she got off the plane. It took 2 days for it to increase with frequent 
feeds and pumpings, then happened again one week later on the way home. 
This time the milk supply did not return. She breastfed on the plane both 
flights. The baby was 9 weeks old at the time. All the questions I could 
think to ask her were negated, only thing possibly to impact milk was 
starting the mini pill but she did that 3 weeks earlier. The flight was not 
stressful, it was a vacation.  Does anyone have any ideas what I could have 
missed? She also started back in to work this week, baby is now 3 months 
old. Before the flight she could pump 10 oz each time (has PIS) now ony 5 
oz. The reason she called is that she has to fly again in September and 
does not want it to happen again. She said she has done research and come 
up with nothing. ( Me too.) So, any ideas?
