I think it is OK to help. But, it is a very good idea to have the other LC
for back up & problems. Sometimes one does get a little emotionally involved &
just to make sure that your reasoning is ok, you call for another opinion.
I'll let you know how I handle this situation in a few weeks. My grandson is
due Feb 8. My daughter has gestational diabetes, so we will be dealing with
blood sugars as well. I just hope & pray that the ultrasound shows that he is
head first & not breech! This is her first & she really would like a
non-medical birth.
