The posts on Foster Care regulations against nurturing foster
children have been disturbing. There are two books that will reveal
what damage is done to these infants with such restrictions.

The Oxytocin Factor: Tapping The Hormone of Calm, Love, and Healing,
by "our own" Kerstin Uvnas-Moberg (2003)

Oxytocin, The Chemistry of Connection by Susan Kuchinskas (2009)
(Uvnas-Moberg's research is a foundation of this very readable book
along with other research on the vital role of oxytocin in creating
healthy humans.)

You will all find Kuchinskas book an eye opener. It is in paperback
and quite inexpensive but worth its weight in gold.
