Friends,

Saw a mom of (cute!!) twin boys today -- born 8/12. Over the last 24 hours,
mom is experiencing severe itching in the breasts -- says it is driving her
nuts. Happens when the babies latch, and during sucking -- not when they are
pausing during the feed. Most intense on the inner aspect of the breasts.
No change in color, no hives. She says it feels as though the itching is on
the inside of the breast, not on the skin, so deep rubbing is the only thing
that helps -- if at all. Not easy to do when you are supporting two babies
simultaneously on the breast.

As soon as she stops nursing, the itching goes away. Doesn't look as though
it is itching "down the ducts" so to speak, as it might be if this were an
odd MER sensation. As I said, it has only been the last 24 hours, and babies
have been at br since birth a week ago. (Well, not the WHOLE time...)

Thoughts? Ideas? Helpful hints?
