Good morning. I'm Grace Marquis. I am an Assist. Prof. of
International Health in the School of Public Health at the
Univ. of Alabama at Birmingham. My research for the last 3+ y has
been on breastfeeding during the second year of life in a low-income
population of Peru. During the project I encountered many women who
continued to breastfeed during pregnancy. I'm interested in getting
an estimate of how prevalent breastfeeding during pregnancy is in the
US. I have one reference by Moscone and Moore. Does anyone know of
any statistics on this practice, any data that could be analyzed to
come up with a rate, or other publications that are available. Thanks!
