I just had the pleasure of attending a two day conference with Wolf and
Glass.

It was amazing!! Congratulations to both of them for obtaining their
IBCLC credentials this year.

I have always wanted to hear them speak after hearing so much about them
here on Lactnet. I have their book and refer to it frequently. I was
prepared to hear things more slanted toward technical OT stuff and
bottle feeding after hearing warnings to that effect. However, I was
delightfully surprised that almost everything they said was how great
and important and normal breastfeeding is for babies. It was almost
with apology that they would mention bottles at all. Even then bottles
were mostly seen as temporary, poor substitutes that could be used while
transitioning baby to breast. They did however glowingly endorse one
brand of bottles and nipples repeatedly. But I trust their judgment and
will view this line of products with new eyes.

The two day conference was an overwhelmingly positive portrayal of
breastfeeding. The IBCLC's I think felt more at home in the room than
the OT's, PT's, Speech pathologists and NICU nurses.

I encourage everyone who gets the chance to see Robin and Lynn to jump
at the opportunity. What I wouldn't give to spend some time working
with them in person in their clinic.
