Hi Everyone out there,
I have a question on behalf of a fellow LLL leader who doesn't have
access to the electronic airwaves. She read somewhere that a HIV+ mother
who gives birth to a baby that is HIV- and then decides to breastfeed has
a 40% chance of passing the virus to her baby. What is the latest about
rates of transmission of HIV through breastfeeding? I am sorry if this
issue has been addressed lately. I haven't been on Lactnet very long and
although I do read it diligently every day sometimes I succumb to
information overload. Thanks so much.
 Susanna
