It has been brought to my attention off-list that visible blood in the
stool may be considered *normal* in an exclusively breastfed baby, and
that this was discussed here some time ago. I have searched the
archives to no avail and would be glad for suggested search terms.>>>>>>>>

Lynn,

try a Jack Newman search on this topic, ...I seem to remember one of many
post of his concerning color variations of BM, maybe including
blood-tinged/streaked, with advice along the lines of; *if everything else is normal* and the
color is still a concern, wear sunglasses to avoid noticing benign color
variations.

The point being something like don't automatically jump off the Bf boat.

Don't rely on my memory, check the archives and other resources.

Nevertheless, it is my understanding that *if everything else is normal*
what was brought to your attention off-list is widely accepted.

Some concerned moms can remedy blood-tinging/streaking by altering their
diet, for instance try avoiding dairy.

Moms regularly attending any Bf moms groups are bound to run into other moms
with similar experience.
