Several of you have posted excellent references for iron supplements given
directly to baby. But I think the original question related to iron
supplements given to mom & their reported effects on baby. I believe Nancy
Wight stated there are no studies showing any effect at all on baby when
mom is taking iron supps. Others on L'net report clinical observations of
constipation in baby. Anyone have access to the Concrane Library to search
this? Probably won't find anything, but it's worth a look. Many believe it,
but can we prove it? or prove no effect?
