Hi Jan and others,
This makes me think about what a friend and collegue of mine told about the
time she worked as a kind of NP in a developping country. She was in charge
of an vaccination programm, so see saw lots of mothers with babies and young
children. These women would ask her what problems mothers encounter with
their children in my friend's homeland (The Netherlands) and she would
reply: "sleeping and eating". Then these women would almost always LOL,
because they just couldn't see what problems you could have with those: when
you're sleepy you sleep and when not, then don't, being a baby, child or
adult; and eating the same: get fed when you're hungry, provided there is
food at all, which does not apply to breastfed babies, and don't eat when
you're not hungry. As simple as that.
