I am having the same problem with one of the Neo's in my unit.   He is also
very
"very hard headed."  He had a mom to stop breastfeeding because "baby was
allergic to breastmilk".  Mom had been encouraged to continue pumping until
baby is
a little older.

In a different light.  I think that I have convinced the Group of Neo's to
start introducing a little colostrum very early in the NICU course.

Sometimes progress is very slow in our unit,  but we are moving forward.
