As it happens, I just checked out one local grocery store for price
comparisons between old and new. Here's what I found:

Standard sized can of Original is either 14 or 16 oz powder. It was not
offered for sale at that store. Standard sized can of Lipil was 12.9 dry oz
$12.49 for 94 fl oz consumable @ $0.1328.

Original 28.5 oz powder $20.49 reconstitutes to 209 fl oz = $0.0980 per
consumable oz. That rounds out to .10 per oz.
New Lipil 25.7 oz powder $23.99 reconstitutes to 188 fl oz = $0.1276 per
consumable oz. That rounds out to .13 per oz.
If baby is fed (an amount commonly reported by moms at follow-up clinic
visit) 3 oz q 3 hrs = 24 oz/day = $2.40 per day for Original or $3.12 per
day for Lipil.
Times 28 days = $67.20 for Original or $87.36 for Lipil. If they buy the
smaller can, they pay more.
Annually (at that uniform rate just for price comparison) Original @
$2.40/day = $876.00 or Lipil @ $3.12/day = $1138.80.
Eventually, I surmise, the Original will actually disappear, but will the
price of Lipil go down? Rhetorical question here....
