This is a continuation of the extremely tired mother I posted about a week
ago.  She called me back to say that today she put her baby on the breast
and the baby jumped back as if she was "being burned by the milk".  The
mother strongly felt something was severely wrong with the milk.  She tried
to squirt into the baby's mouth, but the baby shrieked and refused.  Since
then the baby will not latch.  She knows she is not pregnant because she
got her period, although at this time she is not bleeding anymore.  She has
been eating nothing that is red lights to my knowledge, no milk products,
basically meat and vegetables.  I did not mention that this mother feels if
she does not eat full meals with extra protein she "definately has no milk
and the baby just cries from hunger.  When I am carefull to eat full meals,
and I mean alot of food, so then I feel I have milk and the baby is
satisfied".  The baby is 3 months old, and I am at a loss as to what is
going on.  I explained a bit that milk does not come and go as quickly as
the "myths" like us to believe, etc.  but I have no explanation for the
other things or her absolute exhaustion to the point where she cannot
function.  I welcome and value all your input.
