None of the 4 mentioned conditions are contraindications to BM for most NICU
infants.  For the drugs see AAP Guidelines Sept 2002 Pediatrics and Hale.
Why should Flagyl be contraindicated fro breastfeeding Moms when we use it IV
in premies ?  In a very preterm infant (<28 weeks) only I might have Mom pump
and dump until she is not symptomatic (48 hrs) to minimize the bacterial
exposure to the infant.
