Good for you Denise! Nobody was harmed, the baby got some antibodies and who knows - in this situation some moms might change their minds. Keep up the good work.

I feel the same frustrations as Carol B. There are some people out there with IBCLC, etc after their name that I don't want to be associated with professionally. As I listen to the sad stories my new moms tell me about their hospital experience with BF, I just shake my head and tell them I will try my best to get things on track. I see most of our new babies at 3-5 day PP so I have a real chance to intervene before they stop feeding because of bad advice, care or neglect. Hang in there Carol! Most days I go home knowing that I have made a difference in my little corner of the world and that's the best I can do.
