I'm sure people would cringe looking at the pictures of me nursing my 
most recently born baby.  I have homebirths and there's a picture of me 
nursing her literally seconds after birth.  She's all bloody and messy 
and she's got her hand up touching my breast.  She was so wet that I 
nearly lost my grasp on her so we did throw a towel up for me to kind of 
wrap her a bit but it was more to keep from dropping her not b/c we felt 
she needed cleaning up.  I think she nursed that way for a good 45 
minutes or so before we decided to cut the cord and clean her up.  
Hospitals would probably die if they saw that.  I was stark naked so it 
was definitely skin to skin!
