Re: Judy's post from Upstate NY on May 28, 2010

The below info may be covered in LACTNET posts I have not gotten to yet.
Thomas Hale sent the below info recently (I shortened it). Hopefully, the
center will be up and running soon so that physicians can access the help.

Warm regards,

"Children Are Born with the Need to Breastfeed"

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

Many of you in the past have emailed or called me concerning the use of
medications in pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. I have decided to build
a new center to provide this information to a larger audience.

The new InfantRisk Center is now under development. It will provide easy
phone access for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and their healthcare
providers by answering their questions and providing risk information that
is evidence-based.

For more information about the InfantRisk Center, go to this link:
http://www.ttuhsc.edu/infantrisk

This new InfantRisk Center is all about informing healthcare professionals
and mothers about the use of medications during breastfeeding or pregnancy.

Thomas W. Hale, R.Ph.,Ph.D

Executive Director, InfantRisk Center
