Earlier I wrote, "I have what I believe are the important references showing
cost effectiveness of breastfeeding in terms of reduced illness and
disability. . . I have started to gather references regarding programs and
interventions showing, for example, increases in breastfeeding rates and
duration . . "

However, perhaps what I *should have* said was something like, "references
showing the economic inefficiency of artificial feeding in terms of
increased illness and disability" and "references regarding programs and
interventions resulting in decreased rates of artificial feeding".

Small but important differences. Breastfeeding is the biological norm.
Artificial feeding is a deviation from the biological norm.

Thanks once again Diane Wiessinger for getting us to think about the power
of language.
