I posted the question about new airport/flying rules after I read the
article of Judi Kantor in the NYT. Ever since I have been reading lactnet
for responses and want to thank the lady from La Leche League for her
response that I read yesterday. The point is that some mothers who are
traveling without their baby (for whatever reason) were (are?) not allowed
to bring their previously precious pumped milk through airport security. As
it turned out this was (is?) not the case everywhere but in some instances
breastmilk was dumped because the mother did not have the baby just the
breastmilk. Of course these mothers can send their milk ahead UPS or
however else but that is not the point.
In addition, I want to ask the lady from La Leche League to please post in
Lacnet what gets done after working it out with TSA. Thank you.
