Amy I would highly recc. Alizon Hazelbakers book called Tongue Tie, It has a wealth of info regarding the Literature/Research Available. Unfortunately, many of us are facing the same challenges. I am lucky where I currently work, hospital based, we have Dr Murphy, who performs the Frenotomies. However, most of the other MD's tolerate him, and no one is willing to learn from him, because he will retire at some point. Really sad, but IMHO, a reflection on the current state of Western/Modern Medicine, not very effective overall, unless you have a car or plane crash and need to be sewn together. Otherwise, Ignorance and Mis Diagnosis seems to be the order of the day. Lisa Mooney MSN CNM IBCLC.
