Wendy:  For your mom who is planning to pump one bottle a day, there are
probably many options.  Some mothers do very well with hand expression,
and manual pumps such as Medela, Ameda/Egnell or even the Kaneson
cylinder pump would probably work fine if she has a well established milk
supply.  The mini-electric is a lot more expensive, it does seem to work
better and there is less fatigue with its use, but probably is not
necessary for a single bottle per day, IMHO.  Hope this helps, Alicia.
