Just needed to vent a bit....I work on a mother-baby unit and have been the
LC here the past 9 yrs. I have tried to remove formula "stuff" from the
nurses station etc, and I remove the formula from the gift bags (per our
policy). I just walked by the classroom because I smelled food....well,
wouldn't ya know, there is a inservice about Mead-j's new formula!!! I
questioned some of the rn's, who must think I am crazy..."Hey- it's free
food!" was the reply. I have tried over and over to explain the marketing
techniques etc, but they just don't get it!!!!  And, we all had to watch a
video on integrity this morning! After I calmed down I was sitting at the
nurse's station when the Ross rep comes up with a case of his product for a
rn's friend, and of course the rn is thrilled.....don't ya'll ever feel
like it's never gonna end? Ahh, feel a little better now that's off my
chest. Thanks for listening!
