Someone reported my compunding pharmacist for making Domperidone tablets in
2005, and he was asked to hand over the list of HCPs who had prescribed it.

Our state Board of Medicine reviewed the "investigative file", and
determined this was "unprofessional conduct". I have been asked to sign a
"letter of assurance" by our state attorney general that I will never
prescribe the "illegal substance" Domperidone again. This is supposedly a
"nondisciplinary action", but the letter of assurance will be posted on the
internet when you look up my name at HHS.
If I do not sign it, the attorney general's office will investigate the case
and decide on "further action".

I can live with the state medical board calling me "unprofessional"
(although it does sting)...but I really would like to ask that they remove
the word "illegal" from the paper I sign. I do not have the resources to
hire an attorney to fight this thing, but if I could call the attorney
general with "proof" that my prescribing a "non-FDA approved drug" is not in
fact "illegal", I would feel better about it. I think the logic they are
using is: FDA announced importing Domperidone is "illegal", therfore my
prescribing it was illegal.

Thanks for any assistance-
